YOUR 1st POST-QUARANTINE HAIR APPOINTMENT

You guys are all dying to make your first hair appointment when this is all over, am I right? So what’s your plan?

Are you needing a huge change cause you’ve been cooped up?
Or are you just gonna get the usual roots, cut, and a toner just to get by until things are a little less crazy?

Whatever you’re planning for your future appointment make sure to have open communication with your stylist. There will be some major upcoming changes and a lot of adjusting to do when it comes to our new salon life. There’s going to be a new normal, especially with everything we love doing!

Here’s a few TIPS on what to expect for your first post-iso hair appointment:

  1. Your stylist is going to be slammed and appointment availabilities will be limited - this is due to new guidelines and salons not operating at full capacity. Be patient and kind; know your stylist will be doing everything in their power to fit you in. If you have a flexible schedule, let them know, this will ease the booking process.

  2. Let your stylist know if you’ll be wanting a whole new look. We’re all bored in the house and thinking of summer-time hair. Provide pictures / inspiration when booking your appointment / virtual consultation. This way your stylist can better assess time allotted and prep-work for your session.

  3. Arriving early? Great! Make sure to check-in with reception so your stylist knows you’ve arrived. Be prepared to wait in your car or outside. Until further notice, salons will be prohibiting waiting rooms.

  4. You’ll be required to wear a cloth face covering or mask. I know, I know, major eye-roll! But everyone’s safety is important & we must abide by the new guidelines. It will be just as uncomfortable for us, so let’s be uncomfortable together!

  5. Your scheduled appointment is for you and only you. Sorry, but no friends, siblings, children, etc. will be allowed to accompany you at your appointment. Arrange for daycare accordingly. If your children need hair appointments too, please make a separate one from yours.

  6. Contactless payments are welcome. Ask your stylist if they are accepting payments via Venmo, Zelle or Cash app to take an extra step in limiting contact.

  7. If you’re feeling sick, please cancel or reschedule your appointment. You’ve been waiting forever, we know, and that would totally suck, but we can’t urge you enough to stay home. Be prepared for some salons / stylists to take your temperature before allowing access into the salon.

I received my BARBICIDE Certification for both proper sanitation and disinfection practices / procedures consistent with the current highest industry standards.

Our full return to the salon is still so unclear.

For us here in CA, we are phase 3. Some say weeks away from opening and some say months.

All I do know is that I cannot wait to get behind my chair and work magic.

And if you’re a P&P girl, we have some major new looks to our space that are to die for and we can’t wait for you all to see the new and improved Prim & Proper!

At the end of this all, us hairstylists, just need your trust and patience. We all want to do your hair just as much as you want it done. Remember, that your stylist is a licensed state professional and will be taking every precaution to keep you and themselves safe.

xo,
Melinda
